Unknown miscreants hurled cracker at a shop near Valika roundabout in the limits of Site-A police station, however no casualty was reported. Police said that unknown men riding a motorcycle threw the cracker at a pan shop situated near Valika roundabout and fled. Soon after the incident, law enforcement agencies cordoned off the area.

Police said that it was premature to say something about the motive behind the attack. "Extortion element might be behind the incident," he said. He said that police had started investigation into the matter.
